Callidus Software recognizes and understands the varying needs of different Callidus SPM users. As a result, the Professional Development Services team offers a variety of training methods and approaches to meet the unique needs of every customer.
Our most popular and comprehensive learning format, classroom-based instruction includes presentation of materials, demonstrations, and hands-on lab work and interaction by participants. Either On-Site or within our Austin Training Center, classes are sized with an excellent teacher-student ratio, allowing maximum attention for each attendee.
Our highly-skilled team of Courseware Developers/Technical Trainers focuses on hands-on learning. All classes and workshops provide a realistic and practical training environment to learn and develop compensation and other related skills.

In addition to traditional instructor-led classroom training, Callidus Software provides state-of-the-art eLearning solutions. These offerings include Live Web-Based Classes and Virtual Training Sandboxes where users can review, refresh, and test scenarios in a controlled learning environment. The Callidus Virtual Campus allows students to learn at their own pace, at any time, and from anywhere.
- Live Web Classes are offered with a Callidus instructor teaching remotely. The training is fully interactive with sound, visuals, chat, and product demonstrations. In addition, students will have full access to their own Callidus training environment to complete hands-on labs and exercises in a live application. All this can be done without ever leaving your desk.
- Virtual Self Study classes allow students to immerse in the Callidus training environment, but the student can learn at the location and time of their choice. Using courseware, checklists, and roadmaps as guides, students can progress at their own pace, and develop an in-depth understanding of TrueComp.
- Virtual Sandbox allows organizations to gain access to a complete training environment without worrying about any hardware and software setup. With a browser and an internet connection, companies can access their own independent Callidus training environment. Students can work, review, and learn before or after a class has been completed.
- Virtual Certification Exams provide a secure environment where students can complete Callidus hands-on Certification exams in Compensation, Reporting and Data without having to come to the Callidus Training Facility. Exams are offered at regularly scheduled times, and students simply need a proctor present to participate.
Our TrueComp Concepts Web-Based Training is considered a pre-requisite to the TrueComp Fundamentals and Workshop class. The course is self-paced, but typically takes approximately 4-6 hours to complete. Through Callidus University, you can return as often as you need to complete or review any portions of the training.
This course features 9 topic-based modules and 8 real-life interactive scenarios in which the user solves problems using TrueComp. Our compensation expert "Ask Tami" will introduce the training and be your guide in the learning experience.
The core concepts are broken into easy-to-understand segments, each with review questions at the end.
- Suite — Enterprise Incentive Management, Callidus Software model, and TrueComp architecture and interface
- Organization Data — payee information including participants, positions, titles, and more
- Categories — categories and classifiers for organizing and identifying data
- Rule Elements — fixed values, quotas, rate tables, territories, formulas, lookup tables, and variables
- Compensation Plans — credit, measurement, incentive, and deposit rules and plan summary template
- Pipeline — process and options used to generate compensation results
- Search — the TrueComp search engine, including tracking results and modifying/adjusting data
- Administration — role-based and business unit security, modeling, message logs, audit logs and calendars
